Welcome to day 29 of the 30 Days of Gratitude!

Today I am grateful for Music.  Music has this uncanny ability to change your mood or to portray what you are feeling.

Music helps to set the beat when doing chores or working out.  Music can reach into your chest and touch your heart.

I know I have listened to music that has left me completely undone in a sobbing heap of emotion.  I think these are the songs we come back to again and again to feel that intense connection once more.

We love having music playing in the house.  The music breaks the silence and sets the mood.  Music also helps to let off some steam if that be the case.  We have so much fun dancing in the kitchen to some upbeat song.

Music can heal the soul.  It can carry you through hard times.  It marks celebrations and mourning.  Music is everywhere all the time, you just need to listen.  From the waves in the ocean to the song birds in the trees.  From the rain falling on your roof to the rustling of leaves.  Music is all around us.

I am so grateful for music, it has moved me from emotion to emotion and from hell to heaven.  Music really does soothe the savage beast.
