Welcome to day 21 of my 30 Days of Gratitude!

Today I am so very grateful for my hobbies!  If it weren’t for my hobbies I probably would have gone insane a long time ago.  I wrote a post all about it a while ago called  Hobbies that save Us.  There are many of us who have indulged in a hobby when situations were tough to be able to cope.  This is a great way to administer self care.

I have so many hobbies that really help me and I am a huge advocate for learning a new craft and getting yourself into new hobbies that will not only help you heal, but help you grow.  I wrote a post all about my favorite hobby, gardening – Getting your Hands Dirty.  You may want to check it out.

At this point in my life I continue to indulge in the hobbies that really make me happy.  I also try to learn new things and go back to hobbies that I like but don’t spend a lot of time doing like sewing and reading.

Hobbies really help us mentally to focus and be in the moment.  Some hobbies help us to ground ourselves.  Many hobbies help us to express ourselves creatively.  Some help us to get or stay fit.  While some can even become a career.
