30 Days of Gratitude – My Neighbors

Welcome to Day 20 of the 30 Days of Gratitude!

Today I am grateful for my neighbors. I have lived in the same house for 16 years. Over the last couple of years I have gotten to know my neighbors better.

Up until a couple of years ago, I had really not formed any sort of relationships with many of my neighbors due to the abusive nature of my marriage. Many of my neighbors didn’t like my husband. Some did and he really liked to paint me in a bad light to them, or them in a bad light to me.

Nowadays, we are invited over for meals, play dates, birthday parties, coffee, and girl days. My little one has friends to spend time with. Life has really changed for us.

I think there is great potential and many opportunities to grow better relationships with our neighbors in the years to come. I am so grateful for the opportunity to get to know my neighbors better.
