It is absolutely crucial to have goals. Goals give us direction and something to strive for, like a purpose if you will. Many of us have goals that we don’t outwardly say or write down to make them “official”, but we have them none the less. Some of us actively envision our goals on a daily basis to manifest them into reality. Some of us just dream our dreams but never take the steps to make them come true. Putting action to our plans will lead us down the road of confidence, self-esteem, and gratification.
I decided a while ago to have 1 goal for the month instead of many goals. My goal for this month is to establish the habit of
Going to bed earlier.
To accomplish
Going to bed earlier I must:
Make an Action Plan: Outline the steps I need to take to accomplish the goal.
Start my evening routine earlier. I can work backward from the time I want to be in bed to chart out my routine time frame. I would like to be in bed with my tea and book by 8pm. Getting to that point with the rest of my nightly routine should take about an hour, with evening prep for the next day.
Be consistent: On a daily basis I need to work towards my earlier bedtime. Adjusting when I start my nighttime routine to get to the desired bedtime.  After I have gotten it how I want it, working my night time routine every evening at the same time will help to solidify my new bedtime.
Keep it interesting: I will add new methods to accomplish my goal by using different essential oils and or bath bombs for my evening Ultrabath. Try some new night time teas. Also I have a major pile of books that I want to read.
Celebrate Accomplishments: I will reward myself at the end of each week with a new tea, bath treatment, warm fuzzy socks, new pajamas, or a new hair bonnet.
