Today is Make a Gift Day!  Time to pull out your supplies and get cracking!  This gift can be the result of any hobby that you currently or wish to partake in.  Your gift could be something physical, digital, or consumable.  The only limits set upon this gift are the ones you, yourself set.

I find it handy that this holiday comes at the beginning of December.  Just in time to make something nice for someone for Christmas.  I have many family members that would love a handmade item, I’m sure you do as well.

Maybe this gift can be for some one in your life that you appreciate the service they provide.  For instance your postal carrier, your pharmacist, or even the local shop keepers for the shops you frequent.

This day could even be used for making gifts to give to people that are unknown to you.  There are so many options of giving.  There are the Operation Child Christmas Shoe boxes, making care packages for deployed military, or assemble homeless care packages to give out.  You could use your hobbies to gift to others today, knit or crochet a couple hats or scarves to give to those who need them.  Donate an item you have made to a charity or church auction.

This gift doesn’t even have to be for someone else.  Are you such a generous person that you always making gifts for others and not yourself.  Today is your day!  Making something beautiful for yourself today might just be in order.  Pull out your tools and get to work on your beautiful gift to the most important person in your life…you!

Make a Gift day is a fantastic reason to indulge in or to learn a new hobby.  Whether you make this gift for yourself or another, the self care time you get to indulge in also satisfies the soul. Read about it in my post Getting your Hands Dirty
