Affirmations are positive little phrases we tell ourselves to change our thought patterns. At the time that we begin to tell ourselves these affirmations we may not believe them to be true statements.
Over a short period of time as our minds begin to believe these positive things we say, they begin to become true statements. I know that this may not appeal to everyone, but it is worth a try to help change our mindset.
The best way to get these affirmations to stick in your mind is to sit in front of a mirror. While sitting in front of this mirror, look deeply into your eyes, this part is important. Even say your name to make these more personal. Then spend the next few minutes telling yourself the affirmations below.
I am grateful for all that I have.
I am a beautiful soul.
I am becoming who I am meant to be.
I am loved
I am thankful for the opportunities to learn and grow.
The more we tell ourselves positive things the less room the negative things have to multiply and grow. Flood your mind with these affirmations. Spend 10 minutes 2 to 3 times daily repeating them to yourself either out loud or quietly with a lighthearted tone.
By the end of this month you will notice that your thought patterns have shifted away from the negative and more towards the positive. You may even feel more motivation to do the things you have been wanting to do. I hope that you all can return to this post at the end of 30 days and share how much you have noticed a positive change.
I have learned this technique from Louise Hay through Hay House. If you would like to subscribe to Hay House Radio to get affirmations and positive mindset lessons all the time click here.
