Welcome to day 9 of my 30 days of Gratitude.
I know we all have had some hard life lessons and some of us harder than others. Sometimes it is difficult to see past the pain to the lesson. Other times we don’t see the full lesson and repeat it.
Quite often we stay in the hurt place even after we learned the lesson. I can absolutely attest to that. Once you step outside the pain of the situation or pain of the situation, you can see more clearly.
I have had so many life lessons in my many years living on this planet. I am grateful for them. Even if I don’t like them, even if I am still reeling from the pain of them, I am grateful for them.
I would not be who I am today without them. I would not know what I know without them. I would not know my strength without them. I would not have my testimony without them. I would not be able to pass what I have learned on to you without them. These lessons help to shape us and continue to build our character.
At one point we have to trade these ashes from past burns for the beauty of freedom from the burden of carrying the pain. I still struggle with this, I think that we all do. However I am grateful for this experience of life and the hard learned lessons that come with it.
Our time here is quick. Our life is but temporary. Learn from it and rejoice in the understanding and wisdom our years on this planet brings us. I am so very grateful for the wisdom I have acquired in my lifetime thus far.
