March Goals!

Goals are so very important.  How do you know what you want to achieve unless you think about it and then write it down.  Next, create your plan of action.  Little steps or giant leaps to get to the goal that you wanted to achieve.  Goals are achieved by working on them daily.

Each month I sit down and think about what I want to accomplish that month.  I love pushing myself to do things that I sometimes think are hard.  I love seeing the payout or finished product of my efforts.  I have some big ones for the month of March!

Change my hair style.  I know this doesn’t seem like a huge goal, but I want to go in for a big chop.  Then Henna my hair to condition and color it.  It takes a while and I’m a bit nervous since it’s been a while since my last real haircut.

There is more to it than that.  I firmly believe in the Coco Chanel quote “The woman who cuts her hair is about to change her life.”   I’m about to venture into a new part of my life where things are drastically changing.

I think long and hard before I do it and when it is done, I feel so liberated and free, possibly 5 pounds lighter (quite literally) as my hair is down to my waist.  I’m sure when I make this drastic change it will give me confidence that I need to face the upcoming challenges in my life.

Look for a new Church home.  For the last couple of years I have been going to church online.  I watch Elevation Church on YouTube every Sunday and any other day of the week that I need.  I feel that every sermon is delivered just for me, every series has my name written all over it.  I love watching and I have started reading Pastor Steven Furtick’s books.

I feel that I was suppose to spend the last couple years worshiping from home.  Now it is time to venture out of the house to join God’s people on Sundays.  I need to have a church family again and I need to get my little one in church.  He already has a love for God but needs to make friends and to learn more than he is willing to learn from me.

I by no means am going to stop watching Elevation Church, but will keep it as an addition to going to a place of worship.  You can never have too much God time.

Get back on a schedule.  A lot of changes have happened, winter being one.  It has changed my sleep cycle and I find I am sleeping more.  As much as I love sleep and need to catch up from four years of “on-guard” sleeping.  I need to regulate it again so that I can have my sleep and my early mornings back too.

This one is kind of tough for me as I love to stay snuggled up in my bed in the morning.  I can say I am grateful for my comfortable, warm, and supporting bed.  But then I need to get up and start my day.  Pushing forward with the last part is going to be an everyday battle until it has become a habit again.

I love making goals for the month.   Goals are so important to have in life.  With my goals of a new hair style, a new church home, and getting my sleep schedule adjusted, I think I will have my hands full this month.  Check back to see my progress.  What are some goals you are working on for the month of March?
