Affirmations are positive little phrases we tell ourselves to change our thought patterns. At the time that we begin to tell ourselves these affirmations we may not believe them to be true statements. Keep doing it! This changes our neuropathways and hardwires the belief in your mind.
How do we believe all the negative things about ourselves? By repeating them over and over in our minds almost memorizing these things as fact. If we repeat positive affirmations instead of negative ones, not only will these affirmations become true, but your life will change drastically.
Over a short period of time as our minds begin to believe these positive things we say, they begin to become true statements. I know that this may not appeal to everyone, but it is scientifically proven to change our beliefs.
The best way to get these affirmations to stick in your mind is to sit in front of a mirror. While sitting in front of this mirror, look deeply into your eyes, this part is important. Even say your name to make these more personal. Then spend the next few minutes telling yourself the affirmations below.
I am the Best thing that happened to me
I Choose to love who I am
I Allow new experiences into my life
I Can give and receive love and kindness
I Choose to be thankful for all my hardships
The more we tell ourselves positive things the less room the negative things have to multiply and grow. Flood your mind with these affirmations. Spend 10 minutes 2 to 3 times daily repeating them to yourself either out loud or quietly with a lighthearted tone.
By the end of this month you will notice that your thought patterns have shifted toward the positive. You may even feel more motivated to do the things you have been wanting to do, the dreams you have will become goals, then ultimately become reality. I hope that you all can return to this post at the end of 30 days and share how much you have noticed a positive change.

This is a beautiful book that helps you heal your spirit and move forward with a full heart and new love for your self and your life.
Another book that solidifies the process of reprogramming our minds by making new neuropathways is The Power of Neuro Plasticity by Shad Helmstetter, PH.D. Dr. Helmstetter tells us that by repeating to ourselves affirmations and visualizing our goals as reality can motivate us to achieve these goals to make them reality.
