June 2024 Goal

It is absolutely crucial to have goals.  Goals give us direction and something to strive for, like a purpose if you will.  Many of us have goals that we don’t outwardly say or write down to make them “official”, but we have them none the less.  Some of us actively envision our goals on a daily basis to manifest them into reality.  Some of us just dream our dreams but never take the steps to make them come true.

I decided a while ago to have 1 goal for the month instead of many goals.  My goal for this month is to establish the habit of Wake up at 4am.  I would like t reestablish the habit of waking at 4 am.  I know to some people that seems absurd, but I rather like the quiet early morning hours to spend having my coffee and getting a start to my day.

To establish this Goal habit I must:

Be consistent. On a daily basis I need to wake earlier.  I already wake at 7am.  The first few days I will need to wake up at 6am and then 5am.  Ultimately waking up at 4am.  I will have to set a solid bedtime time of 9pm.  

Keep it interesting.  I will add new methods to accomplish my goal by using a solid night routine to put me to sleep.  Have some sleepy tea.  Get enough exercise throughout the day.  Not eat within 2-3 hours of going to bed.  Listen to soft music.

Celebrate Accomplishments.  I will reward myself at the end of each week by indulging in a pampering selfcare such as; a stroll at the park, a luxurious soak in the tub, try a new bath product, do a facial mask, paint my nails, learn a new skill, get a new pair of pajamas, or get a new herbal tea to try.
