30 Days of Gratitude – My Home – Relate Technologies

Welcome to day 5 of my 30 days of Gratitude.

I moved into my home with my family in the summer of 2004. We had never been homeowners before. We worked hard at getting the house ready for my party of 6 to occupy the 3 bed, 2 bath ranch style home.

Over the 15 years we have lived in this home we have changed and added a few things. We have absolutely made this house our home. This home has seen my little kids grow to become adults and welcomed new life into it. Our home has transformed and grown with us.

I remember putting in new flooring, expanding our living space, refinishing the kitchen cabinets, and stomping plaster on the ceiling. I loved transforming the spaces into inviting places to dwell. While my family grew so did this home. This home has embraced us and we embraced this home.

This home has sheltered us from the storms… weather and life ones. It has taken a beating and some love. This home has kept us warm in the winter and has sheltered us from the summer sun. It has seen many gatherings and many people leave us.

I am grateful for my home, the friendships we have forged by living here, and the beautiful memories made within these walls.

I am grateful for the property on which our home resides. My children have been able to run freely and to enjoy nature here. We have been able to learn and see the wonders of life. I am able to grow food to nourish us and forage for medicinal plants to help keep us healthy. Stepping outside can be a new adventure.

There are so many blessings we have received from living in this home. I am so very grateful to live here.
