This is a poem that I have written a couple of years back, that I thought I would share.
Winter Has Come
Winter has come
The bitter deception
Of warmth with light.
Winter has come
The darkness surrounds
With shorter days and longer nights.
Winter has come
The air is so frigid
It burns the face.
Winter has come
The world has began
To move at a snail’s pace.
Winter has come
The lifeless world
Lies quietly frozen.
Winter has come
Here, I’m held
Until the ice is broken.

That’s a beautiful poem, Tamie. There are only two seasons from where I’m in (rainy and dry seasons) but it feels like I felt what winter is like through your poem.
